monumental piece of West German
pottery is by Scheurich in shape
282 with the Jura pattern. The surface has an uneven,
rock-like
surface with an assortment of fossil designs. The
coloring is
slightly
off-white with a semi-gloss surface. The off-white
look is
actually
created by allowing the beige or tan underglaze to come
through just
slightly in certain areas. It's a subtle touch that
adds a lot of
depth to the look. While white is common in the Op Art
porcelain, it's actually rather uncommon on W. German
pottery. The decor name is based on the embossed
design in this case, not the glaze.Form: 282
Dimensions: Height is about 21". I believe this is the largest size in the Jura line.
